International Salon and Spa Expo

Keep yourself motivated for success. It's not going to come to you, you have to seek out inspiration and keep raising your level of expectations to improve and succeed. One way to that is to go to hair shows. The Professional Beauty Association puts on a couple of shows each year that are exceptional.

If you're in the Chicago area March 26-28, 2011, think about going to the Midwest International Salon and Spa Expo (ISSE). They call it "The Who's Who of Beauty Events," and it's a great place see exciting new hairstylists and designs. Some of the designs are pretty outrageous, and you don't have to agree with or like all the designs, but you can be open to the ideas behind them and let them inspire you.

At ISSE, you can take classes, visit vendors, watch runway shows and attend other special events. There's also a show in Long Beach - equally as phenomenal. That one's coming up quick, January 29-31.
